The Tigers defeated the Stars for the second straight day, running their record to 7-7 and clinching a playoff spot. The key here is that they must win their last game against the Storks to clinch at least the 7th and maybe the 6th spot. That way they avoid Elks who will no doubt be the top seeded team. The Tigers have gone 0-3 against the Large Mammals and the games haven't been close. They stand a better chance in beating the Rebels (did the coach or sponsor go to UNLV?) or AJ's.
This is the first game I've seen in two weeks because of my work schedule. The All-Star is leading off now. He deserves it. He works hard at his craft and wants to do well. He's now using the 16 ounce bat which he feels gives him more pop than the 14 ouncer. While he's been playing outfield and fielding pitcher, Tiger Coach has been moving him around to see where he can excel for next year.
Next game is Tuesday and playoffs start on Saturday the 10th. Stay tuned.
